Julio Enciso is the newest addition to Ipswich Town FC, completing one of the major moves of this transfer window.

The 22-year-old Paraguay international returns to English football and has signed a five-year contract.

Enciso is returning to a club he already knows well. The attacker previously represented Ipswich during the second half of the 2024/25 season, on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, leaving an excellent impression during his first spell at the club.

Following that experience, the young Paraguayan moved to Strasbourg, where he took another important step forward in his development in European football. Last season, he made 42 appearances and scored 12 goals, playing a key role in a team that reached the UEFA Conference League semi-finals. In the European competition, Enciso registered three goals and four assists in ten appearances.

His season was also marked by his participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026 with Paraguay, a national team he has represented from a very young age and for which he has already earned more than 30 senior caps.

Developed at Libertad, Enciso moved to Europe at just 18 years of age to join Brighton. Since then, he has gained experience in the Premier League, Ligue 1 and European competitions, establishing himself as one of the most talented Paraguayan players of his generation.

Now, at 22, Julio Enciso returns to the Premier League on a permanent basis and begins an important new chapter in his career with Ipswich Town FC.
