Stephen Eustáquio is a new Swansea City player, beginning a new chapter in his career in English football, where he will compete in the Championship.

The Canadian international midfielder joins the Welsh club after more than four years with FC Porto, a period in which he established himself in Portuguese football and gained experience at the highest level, both in domestic competitions and on the European stage.

Eustáquio joined FC Porto in January 2022 from Paços de Ferreira. During his time with the Dragons, he made 157 appearances, scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists, while also winning nine trophies: two Portuguese league titles, three Portuguese Cups, one League Cup and three Portuguese Super Cups.

Before joining FC Porto, the midfielder represented clubs including Paços de Ferreira, Cruz Azul, GD Chaves and Leixões, in a career that has seen him compete in Portugal, Mexico and, more recently, the United States, where he represented Los Angeles FC on loan.

At international level, Eustáquio is one of the key figures of the Canadian national team, with more than 60 international appearances. He represented his country at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2024 Copa América, before returning to the World Cup stage in 2026.

At 29, his move to Swansea City now opens a new chapter in Eustáquio’s career, as he prepares for his first experience in English football and a new challenge in one of Europe’s most demanding competitions.
