Stephen Eustáquio joins LAFC on loan

Stephen Eustáquio will represent Los Angeles FC until the end of the current season on loan, in a deal that includes a purchase option.

The 29-year-old Canadian international arrives in North American football after several high-level seasons in Europe, where he stood out for his consistency, tactical intelligence, competitive intensity, and leadership qualities in central midfield areas.

Developed in Portugal, Eustáquio built a solid career in European football with spells at clubs such as Chaves and Paços de Ferreira, before establishing himself at the highest level with FC Porto. During his time at the club, he became one of the leaders within the squad and wore the captain’s armband on multiple occasions.

Across his seasons with FC Porto, the midfielder won one Liga Portugal title, three Portuguese Cups, one League Cup, and two Super Cups, playing an important role both on and off the pitch.

The move to LAFC marks a new chapter in Eustáquio’s career, as he now takes on the challenge of competing in Major League Soccer and bringing his experience, leadership, and winning mentality to the Los Angeles-based club during this decisive phase of the season.
