AS1 has finalised the transfer of Moroccan forward Yassir Zabiri to Stade Rennais on a long-term contract running until 2029. The striker arrives from Portuguese side Famalicão after finishing as top scorer at the most recent FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he netted five goals.
Born in Marrakech in 2005, Zabiri is regarded as one of the most promising forwards on the African continent. He joins Habib Beye’s side to provide dynamism in the final third and a strong goal threat.
After signing his contract, the Moroccan prospect expressed his happiness:
“I’m very happy to join Stade Rennais, a great club. Their project really attracted me. I know I’ve chosen the right place to develop; Stade Rennais is known for providing excellent support to young players.”
